Since I last posted about one of my brick walls, Lavenia m. to Jesse Carter, I have looked at Jesse's pension papers again. In them it says that Lavenia died 1854-56 and is buried in Howell Co,Mo., and that Woodson Easley and Rutheford Easley Moody would know of her death. There are Easleys in Howell Co,Mo in 1850 & later also. In 1860 census Jesse & 2nd wife Elizabeth & children including Jesse & Lavenia's son Houston are in Gentry Co,Mo.After 1860 Jesse & family move to EL Dorado,Saline Co,ILL & Jesse enlists in military for the union. I have found Woodson Easley & Rutheford Easley and a lot more Easleys in EL Dorado,Saline Co,ILL & other nearby counties. Does anyone know of this family and if Lavenia's maiden name might be Easley? I appreciate any help.

Hi Patty, I am researching the Adams line, My ggg grandfather Hugh Adams was supposedly born in KY or VA about 1812-15 and before 1838 moved to Putnam County, Indiana. I think he could have lived in or around Casey and or Lincoln counties of KY. He married Lucinda Jones in Indiana her father Allen Jones was very possibly born in Casey or Lincoln County, I do know his brother William was married in Casey County, KY in 1817 and also moved to Putnam County, IN. I am trying to find other people that are researching this line. I have a cousin who married a Poynter and lives in KY, I can't help but wonder if yours are related to her husband. I don't know any of his tree though.
